About time we reminded y’all about our upcoming party. Onda Sonora is back after a short break due to the Halle carnival and some relaxing. But we’ll be back in great form. This Sunday, April 8th, we’ll serve you some of the finest Underground Soul music you can experience on a Belgian dancefloor.

Before I do a quick presentation of what’s up musically let me tell you we’ve planned some far out side stuff. As we begin early, at 17h, there will be a possibility to eat. We provide the fire & grill, sauces and the vegetables for a BBQ. All you need to do is bring your meat, fish of veggie burgers. To get fueled even more for some fierce dancing we’ll open a cocktailbar. A fine selection of cocktails, bubbles and other fine drinks will be available. All night long (or if you’re thirsty as long we’ve got the ingredients). On top of that we’ll have a barrel of La Chouffe, a fine Belgian special beer. Strong and tasty.

The decoration will be taken care of too. We’ll change some things to the standard look of JH Eenders. Some subtle, some outrageous. The new soundsystem slowly gets finished and we are getting used to it. And we’ve got some very nice surprises lined up for you. We’re planning on going full David Mancuso / The Loft on your asses. We didn’t name our party “Love Saves The Day” for nothing as you will obviously notice.

Entrance fee will be a 45 rpm records, also known to diggers as a 7″ record. Anything is OK but the 3 most original get a reward. If you come without one you’ll have to pay. 2 € for JH Eenders members and 4 for all others. So a little search can save you some money that you can spend on booze. Prices for drinks are more dan democratic. 1,10 € for beers, waters and alike. 1,50 € for special beers.

And then the music. We begin with an evening session serving you the best in Soul, Funk, Reggae, Latin, Afrobeat and Hiphop. Our guest are the Bugalu Soundsystem (Club Bugalu - Leuven), the boys behind the wonderful Bugalu parties and gigs (last one was with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings) and 72 Soul (72Movement), a force behind many musical projects promoting the soulful and funky.

The evening session will be more House oriented. With a label showcase from Detroit’s Ferris Park Records (their Myspace). Label head honcho Scott Ferguson together with our favourite Belgian House DJ Red D (his Myspace), multi instrumentalist Core and the lovely Lady Linn on vocals. This will be big. For sure. Combining the live element and dj thing. It’s going to be deep, the way we like it.

Connecting the dots as always will be the Onda Sonora Soundsystem Reunited (Residents). For this they will be joined by the long lost member of the crew; DJ Tom. Onda Sonora Reunited, we’re all exited.
