I will try to catch more festivals this year than last year. Only went to Festiv’Halle, Bruksellive, a little Blue Note and Pukkelpop last year. The first 2 because we played there, the last only to see Tortured Soul (of which I missed the first half because we got there too late). Somebody needs to bring that band over, by the way. They are insanely good. Anyway. This year I need more music. I will check more nights at Blue Note festival for sure. I will go to Dour for the first time in my life probably. Might catch some dj’s at 10DaysOff if that fits in my agenda with the previously mentioned festivals and with the one I’m really looking forward to.

And that’s St-Paul Soul Jazz Festival. Once did a sort alike festival in Toulon (with James Taylor Quartet and Lefties Soul Connection) and that was a blast. Sun, booze, lovely people and ace music. What do you need more. Made some very good friends there. Hope to do that over again. With some of the guys from Toulon and some new ones.

Foreign festivals are the bomb. Southport in 2 weeks. Need to record that mixtape I promised to everyone, so they can get prepared on the roadtrip to the north of England.

Highly on my to do list. Candela festival in Puerto Rico. Looks like heaven.
