It was fun. Well, we had our minor setbacks and difficulties Like Red D being sick and not in shape to perform at his full powers. But he still played an ace and more than enjoyable set. Being it not all night long. But that gave Yoeri and I to play our first post SP40 set together. For a crowd that was into dancing a bit more than the day after. Saturday was fine though but people didn’t move until the end part of Rikkie’s set. A bit of a shame because he was playing on a very high level.

As was our local youngster Adriaan. He surprised me. He definitely got a groove an and sublime taste. Soul Ascendants is always a winner with the Onda Sonora crew. And he’s got the Dixon / Benji B behind the decks swing already. Ace set. We closed Saturday for a crowd that slowly went home. Still got to play deepness to great response.

Considered that it’s already exams for a lot of students and that we had a lot of competition in and around Halle, it was quite surprising to see so many faces showing up. Thanks for that.

Sunday was a bit easier. Lovely barbecue with some lovely people. We haven’t seen the movie. Some trouble with area codes for dvd’s, laptops and brains not up to thinking very straight. Watched some party pics. Which was a lot of fun too. Big hug to everybody present, all helping, Yoeri & Karl for the free booze, Red D, Adriaan and Rikkie for the nice music.

We’ll do this again in November.
