Paperclip People
Digged this one up yesterday and boy it still sounds fresh after all this years (released some 10 years ago). Utter genius and relevant as can be. Carl Craig is a god, no doubt. Check the remix he did for "Kilode" by that other genius called Tony Allen. It’s out on Honest Jons. Pure bliss. Did C2 ever go wrong or produced a bad track ? Still haven’t heard it.
"The secret tapes of dr. Eich" by Paperclip People is a classic you all should have in your collection. Like "More songs about food and revolutionary art", the selftitled album by The Detroit Experiment, Innerzone Orchestra’s "Programmed" and so much more cuts by the man. All essential in any collection.
Yep, in the mansion for years already now and still not getting tired of it either. Too bad though the pressing wasn’t all that though.

if you hadn’t been aware of this until Oct.2007 you’re either 15 years old or i don’t know what kind of self-professed musiclover you are. same goes for most other recommendations. if you’re writing a blog you should be able to present something a bit more beyond the obvious.

Hey, if you don’t have anything better to do than writing lame comments on Blogs you don’t like, you’ve got way too much time on your hands. I’m not writing this Blog to show how cool I am or how much I know about music. I write this Blog for people who dig what we are doing as dj’s / organisers of parties and want to know more about the music we play. And most of these people are do not pretend to know more about music than Gilles Peterson and some of them are barely older than 15. So what’s your point ? Am I not elitist enough for you ? Well, that’s not my aim and if you don’t like than stay away.
