Really like the new wave of Hip Hop and Soul artists breaking ashore in 2008. Jay Electronica and Muhsinah got some attention on this Blog already. Stacey Epps not but it’s time to correct that. She’s a female MC, more in the line of greats like MC Lyte, Jean Gray, Bahamadia than of tramps like Lil’ Kim or Foxy Brown. She puts skills before silicones. Her “Floatin” is popping up in the playlists of every good (radio) DJ. Getting classic status on my iPod right now. Don’t think it’s out already. But they shouldn’t wait too long with it. I need this. You need this. Certainly because it’s a bit annoying to always rewind Tyler Askew’s MFT radioshow to hear it.
