Webster Lewis In Norway

Filed under: Music, Buying Guide - BLA @ 11:09 am

One of the records I was most pleased about finding in Manchester is the “Webster Lewis in Norway” album that’s been reissued on Plastic Strip Records. Ever since I heard “Do You Believe” opening the Basic Soul Radio Show a couple of weeks ago I’ve been in love with it. 17+ minutes of pure musical heaven. This should cause a storm on any dance floor and keep it that way all through the track. If your dancers are any decent.

It makes me wish I could impress some people on the dance floor when Snowboy is playing. For now I’m keeping those moves for strictly private occasions. Like when I put the needle to this Webster Lewis record. Don’t want to hurt anyone (laughing).

Anyway. If you like Jazz to dance to you should check this site. It’s the label’s one with all the info you need on it. And find the album. You might want to buy the CD or digital release too, by the way. Because the vinyl only got the alternative take of “Do You Believe” on it. Order it at your local shop or buy it on iTunes.

The site got some sound snippets but if you want to hear a full version of that tune check the Basic Soul Show. It’s the first track of the show.
